OrbitAID Opens India’s Largest Commercial Satellite-Servicing R&D Hub
OrbitAID (ASTRA Cohort 3 alumni) has opened a new $2 million R&D centre in Bengaluru dedicated to on-orbit servicing and refuelling — inaugurated by ISRO Chairman Dr. V. Narayanan and billed as India’s largest commercial rendezvous, proximity-operations and docking facility. The company also announced plans for a propellant-handling and satellite-servicing hub in Tamil Nadu.
Led by founder and CEO Sakthikumar Ramachandran with co-founder Nikhil Balasubramanian, OrbitAID builds satellite life-extension solutions — including its TRL-7 SIDRP docking-and-refuelling interface — to extend missions and reduce space debris.
