Infinite Composites Secures $5.5M+ in NASA Lunar Contracts

Infinite Composites has reached a major milestone in its space journey, securing more than $5.5 million in NASA Commercial Lunar Payload Services (CLPS)-related contracts to support the development of advanced cryogenic and pressure tank systems for lunar missions.

The company’s latest $2.9 million subcontract covers the development of the main cryogenic propellant tanks for a lunar lander, following previous contracts focused on pressurant tanks and reaction control system (RCS) tanks.

Supporting the Next Generation of Lunar Exploration

Infinite Composites’ advanced composite pressure vessel technologies are being integrated into commercial lunar landers supporting the next generation of space exploration missions.

The company is already contributing to one of the largest lunar landers currently under development, which has completed a series of qualification tests and is expected to launch toward the Moon in early 2027.

Over the past four years, Infinite Composites has worked with multiple commercial space companies to develop and qualify tank solutions designed to meet the demanding requirements of lunar missions.

From Flight Heritage to Expanding Space Applications

The growing demand for Infinite Composites’ technology builds on the company’s recent flight heritage across multiple domains, including GEO satellite missions, hypersonic flight, and hydrogen-powered UAVs.

These achievements have helped demonstrate the versatility of its composite pressure vessel technology across space, defence, aerospace, and transportation applications, opening new opportunities beyond traditional spacecraft systems.

Scaling Manufacturing Capabilities

To support increasing demand, Infinite Composites has expanded its manufacturing capabilities, including investments in equipment to support larger diameter tanks and increased production capacity.

These developments strengthen the company’s ability to deliver advanced composite solutions for emerging markets, including lunar exploration, defence applications, and next-generation aerospace systems.
