SCALE is an early-stage, aerospace-specific accelerator by Starburst Aerospace and UCLA, aimed at creating an aerospace innovation hub here in Los Angeles. The 13-week program will serve as a platform for entrepreneurs to launch and scale their businesses, helping startups develop their technology and bring it into the market faster. SCALE is designed to inspire a generation of students, entrepreneurs, and investors to build commercial ventures in aerospace.
Position Overview
What will you be doing?
As the SCALE Assistant Director, you’ll work alongside the Director and Technology Scout to execute the day to day operations of the accelerator, including:
Coordinating with instructors, mentors, VCs, and corporate partners who are participating in digital courses/events
Coordinating with startup founders and mentors to schedule 1:1 office hours
Managing program documentation/record keeping
Driving community engagement, both within SCALE and on the global Starburst Slack
Overseeing program communication on Slack
Representing Starburst at various events and bringing new investors, mentors, and subject matter experts into SCALE
Assisting to identify new business opportunities for our startups by using and expanding Starburst’s network
Assisting in market research
Responsibilities
Manage assigned tasks through to completion
Double and triple check details to make sure everyone is at the right place at the right time
Participate in and organize SCALE events
Serve as concierge, connecting startups to resources
Help build the SCALE innovation hub

Experience:
Graduated with a high GPA from an undergraduate institution with a Bachelor of Arts (in economics, business…) or Science (in physics, engineering…)
Fluency in Microsoft and Google Suite software and proficiency/comfort in learning new tools/systems
Ideal candidates will have 2-5 years of experience in a high-paced work environment
Ideal candidates will have prior experience in venture capital or acceleration/incubation programs
