Prime Lightworks
Founder Kyle Flanagan
Category Propellant-less electric propulsion for satellites
Location Culver City, CA
Product

Prime Lightworks is developing a RF resonant cavity thruster for satellite propulsion that could replace satellite propellant mass and conventional satellite propulsion systems. Prime Lightworks fully electric propulsion systems would increase satellite payload mass and orbital velocities, while lowering fuel emissions and launch costs to orbit. Satellites’ lifetime would be increased by making it only limited by their components failure, and not anymore by propellant capacity.

Sen
Founder Charles Black
Category Space
Location London, UK
Product

Sen developed a space-grade 4K video platform that is compact, light and compatible with existing satellite platforms. They currently focus on providing 4K video monitoring of space operations (panel deployment, boom extension, stage separation…) as a service. Sen is capable of 4K Ultra-HD full color resolution with 30 fps and fitting in existing satellite and launcher platforms. Full pan and tilt functionalities.

Corenova
Founder Peter Lee
Category Enabling technologies
Location Santa Monica, CA
Product

Corenova develops an autonomous operation framework aiming to eliminate the need for human management of fleets of any type of unmanned vehicles for critical operations.

The framework enables users to simply mark the location, urgency, and type of operation (e.g. infrared photo, 3D visual scan, etc). The fleet then automatically assesses which vehicles are equipped to perform the action by checking available battery or range. Corenova instantly and constantly optimizes the mission plan for all vehicles in the fleet.

Momentus
Founder Mikhail Kokorich
Category Space
Location Santa Clara, CA
Product

Momentus provides in-space transportation services to help spacecraft reach their final destination, allowing customers that launch from the ISS or LEO to reach higher orbits or more effective inclinations. Their propulsion system is based on a proprietary water plasma technology. It features higher thrust and higher specific impulse than comparable chemical propulsion systems (3x less propellant is needed to deliver payloads to their target orbits).
