Natilus is building and operating an amphibious freight drone capable of transporting goods worldwide at 50% the cost of traditional air-shipping methods. The Natilus amphibious drone has a blended wing body capable of carrying up to 100 tons and operates routes up to 30 hours at just below transonic speeds. Natilus is fully autonomous and doesn’t require a cockpit or heavy and complex life control systems such as pressurization and emergency escape routes. These simplifications reduce estimated manufacturing costs from $250MM for a Boeing 777 down to $50MM for a Natilus.
