Please be sure to include a link to your company’s website, a brief description of the technology you are working on, and anything else you think we may need to know so that we can better assist you.

Who is ASTRA open to?

ASTRA is a program designed for pre-seed and seed startups and mature research projects in Israel who focus on space technologies. If you are an international start-up and willing to relocate for the first part of the program (3-month bootcamp), feel free to apply as well.

Is the program virtual or in-person?

The program will provide a state of the art workplace in the Tel Aviv center area while providing workshops both online and in person.

How long does the program last?

3-month bootcamp followed by 4-month post-program plan. Total of 7 months.

Does the program cost anything?

The program does not charge a fee for its support but asks for a small percentage equity (5%) for participation. The “value” of ASTRA program is valued at $100K per company.

Does ASTRA provide funding support?

No cash investment at this time but fundraising support. ASTRA will prepare the founders to raise funds, and provide ample opportunities to market their technologies to key players in the ecosystem.

I am not building a rocket or spaceship, should I still apply?

Beyond things that fly, space is just another industry trying to adapt. Whether you’re developing a voice recognition system for schools, an image recognition tool for healthcare, or a testing tool for financial systems, we want to hear it all! What is the time commitment of the program?

Startups should be able to commit to 5-10 hours of focused time each week. There are approximately 1.5 hour of practical workshops each week plus weekly meetings with the ASTRA team and regular community/networking opportunities.

Can foreign (non-Israeli) projects/ startups apply?

The program’s scope is essentially national, without necessarily excluding foreign projects that would like to set up in Israel and create value for the local ecosystems.
