Last Call for Applications: EUDIS Business Accelerator Cohort 3

Applications for the third cohort of the EUDIS Business Accelerator are officially open until 30 May 2026. Designed for ambitious European start-ups and scale-ups developing defence and dual-use technologies, the programme continues to establish itself as one of Europe’s leading acceleration initiatives dedicated to defence innovation.

Initiated by the European Commission and delivered by Starburst, the EUDIS Business Accelerator supports companies developing technologies with strong operational and market potential across the European defence ecosystem.

Following the successful launch of the first two cohorts, the programme will welcome a new batch of 20 high-potential companies starting in September 2026.

Supporting the Next Generation of European Defence Innovation

As Europe accelerates efforts to strengthen its industrial and technological sovereignty, the need for agile, scalable, and deployable defence technologies has never been greater.

The EUDIS Business Accelerator was created to help bridge the gap between technological innovation and operational adoption. Over the course of an intensive 8-month programme, selected companies receive strategic support to adapt their solutions to defence requirements, structure their go-to-market approach, and engage directly with key stakeholders across the sector.

The programme focuses on helping companies navigate the complexity of the European defence market while accelerating their commercial and industrial development.

A Programme Built Around Operational Exposure and Market Access

The accelerator combines high-level strategic support with direct immersion into the defence ecosystem through:

  • on-site bootcamps across Europe
  • Tailored coaching and training from defence experts
  • Access to corporates, procurement stakeholders, end-users, and investors
  • One-to-one mentoring and business development support

Participating companies also benefit from exposure to operational realities and end-user expectations, enabling them to refine their technologies and positioning for real deployment opportunities.

€120,000 Non-Dilutive Funding for Selected Companies

Each selected company completing the programme will receive a €120,000 non-dilutive funding voucher to accelerate both technological and commercial development.

Beyond financing, the programme offers access to a strong European network of industrial partners, institutional stakeholders, and investors actively shaping the future of defence innovation.

Technology Areas Covered

Cohort 3 will focus on several strategic themes, including:

  • Information and Decision Superiority
  • Autonomous Systems and Robotics
  • Counter-Drone Technologies
  • Sovereign and Resilient Defence Infrastructure
  • Human Performance and Protection
  • Scalable Manufacturing and Sustainment
  • Open Topic: Disruptive Technologies for Defence Superiority

This broad scope reflects the increasing need for innovation across the full defence value chain.

Applications Close on 30 May 2026

European start-ups and scale-ups based in the EU or Norway developing high-potential defence or dual-use solutions are encouraged to apply before the deadline.
