Starburst renews its partnership with the IEEC and the Government of Catalonia to launch Cohort 2 of the Catalonia Space Accelerator
The Catalonia Space Accelerator is promoted by the Government of Catalonia (#TIC), coordinated by the Institute of Space Studies of Catalonia (IEEC), and developed by Starburst. It is designed to help high-potential space and space-enabled start-ups accelerate their growth, access international markets, and connect with leading investors, corporates, and experts across the global space ecosystem.
Building on a Successful First Cohort
The first cohort brought together four promising companies: Pangea Propulsion, Kreios Space, Albora, and Aistech Space, highlighting the strength and diversity of Catalonia’s space ecosystem. From propulsion and Earth observation to space-enabled technologies, these companies reflected the range of innovation thriving in the region.
With Cohort 2, the programme aims to support a new generation of space startups by providing strategic, commercial, and international support to accelerate their path to market.
Applications for 2026 Now Open
Applications for the 2026 cohort are officially open. The programme is highly selective, targeting startups with strong technical foundations, clear commercial ambition, and international growth potential.
Selected startups will benefit from:
- Tailored acceleration roadmaps to align technology and business strategy
- 1:1 mentoring with experts in space, business, and investment
- Direct introductions to investors and corporate partners
- Business development opportunities across Europe and beyond
- Access to international space events for networking and visibility
- Participation in a high-visibility Demo Day to showcase solutions to the global ecosystem
