ZeroAvia completes a new financing round

ZeroAvia has completed a new financing round led by Barclays Climate Ventures, Breakthrough Energy Ventures, Ecosystem Integrity Fund, Horizons Ventures, Summa Equity, and AP Ventures, with participation from the National Wealth Fund and the Scottish National Investment Bank.

The funding extends ZeroAvia’s cash runway by two years and supports the industrialization of its hydrogen power and propulsion technologies for aviation and defense. The company is already supplying its SuperStack Flex modular fuel cell system to defense customers, with growing interest for UAVs, eVTOLs, and fixed-wing commercial aircraft.

SuperStack Flex delivers higher power density than batteries, enabling electric propulsion and onboard power with lower noise and thermal signatures, reduced maintenance, improved reliability, zero emissions, and extended endurance. Following UK CAA Design Organisation Approval, ZeroAvia is positioned to deliver the first certified aviation fuel cell systems.

The system is also the core module of ZeroAvia’s ZA600 hydrogen-electric powertrain for 10-20 seat aircraft, with extensive flight testing completed, hundreds of engine orders secured, and initial entry-into-service planned in Norway.
