Safran Strengthens Military Intelligence Capabilities with Kayrros Acquisition

Safran is continuing to expand its position in military intelligence with the acquisition of Kayrros’ defence-focused geospatial intelligence activities.

This move follows Safran’s previous acquisition of Preligens and reinforces the group’s ambition to build a stronger end-to-end intelligence analysis capability through Safran.AI.

Building an End-to-End Intelligence Chain

With this acquisition, Safran aims to control the full intelligence analysis chain, from target identification to post-strike assessment.

Kayrros’ military satellite image analysis capabilities will complement Safran.AI’s existing expertise in geospatial intelligence, signal analysis, and multi-source data fusion.

Expanding Across the Full Signal Spectrum

Safran.AI is positioning itself across a broad range of intelligence domains, from seabed acoustic signal analysis for naval applications to space-based radar and optical imagery.

By combining these capabilities, Safran is strengthening its ability to fuse data from multiple sources and deliver actionable intelligence for defence customers.

A Strategic Move for International Growth

After the acquisitions of Preligens and Kayrros’ defence activities, Safran.AI is targeting strong growth, largely driven by international markets.

This acquisition marks another step in the consolidation of France’s sovereign defence AI and geospatial intelligence capabilities.
